The Poverty Strategy Commission is an independent Commission formed to develop consensus around a strategy for tackling poverty in the UK. The Commission’s work will build on the poverty measure developed by the Social Metrics Commission. Doing so means that it will consider how to reduce the incidence of poverty, tackle poverty depth and the length of time families spend in poverty and improve a wide range of outcomes for those experiencing or at risk of experiencing poverty.
